Honestly, it brings me immense satisfaction and genuine joy to see people enjoying themselves. I love providing an experience that brings people joy. That’s why I do it: to witness people unapologetically expressing their joy.
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU DO FOR SANITY MAINTENANCE?
I have a big, loud, ugly one-hand-over-mouth and one-hand-on-chest cry. Bonus points if the feeling overwhelms me in public while I’m surrounded by strangers. There’s something so grounding about visceral emoting.
WHAT IS THE SCRAPPIEST THING YOU’VE DONE FOr money?
I’ve sold my voice to make money, almost like a hood Ariel.
YOUR TASK IS TO PRESCRIBE ONE BOOK OR FILM TO THE COLLECTIVE. WHAT IS IT?
Everyone needs to watch the original MOANA that came out in 2016. For a book, THE SUBTLE ART OF NOT GIVING A FUCK by Mark Manson. Both, in very different ways, remind you that you can’t live your life solely according to everyone else’s expectations.
Current obsession?
I’m currently obsessed with action movies right now. I can’t explain why, but I think it’s because I’m anticipating the new Marvel movie, DR. DOOM.
MOST USEFUL FAILURE?
I think the most useful failures are the ones that stem from a lapse in judgment, like trusting someone you shouldn’t have. Once you make that kind of mistake, you become much more familiar with the signs and better equipped to recognize them the next time around. It also teaches you to appreciate the moments when your judgment did serve you right.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON?
I’m currently working on a game show concept/party series called Sonic Sex. It’s a challenge that pairs sonically-compatible DJs with the goal of maintaining a seamless sonic experience through beautiful blends—a symphony of which I am the conductor.
